To do something different for the base than granite colours, I went with a brown-grey triad set from the TTC lines, washing it with diluted Warm Brown Ink from the Dark Arts set and I'm so happy with the results! It's much more interesting and also a very moody scheme which is what I was going for.

Inspired, I decided to go with blue-greys instead of white-greys to highlight the black. I also used a coal-black from the TTC Dark Arts set as the base coat. I'm really happy with the result! The eyes were also done with Dark Arts ivory colours.

This was another one of those models that didn't seem so interested when primed but now that it's painted, I really love how it looks.

Finally the transition of green into orange in the smoke area is something I wanted to blend well and I think it work! Very happy with this one. :)

I used some dilute washes of the red to tie the layers together and it smoothed it all out in a very satisfactory way. I also wanted to be more restrained on the grey for the black parts so give it a more convincing black look and think that work.
