It's been sad to see trees being removed from @uniofsurrey.bsky.social car park. On sweltering hot days the popularity of the shade they offer is clearly visible. The floor was a little uneven but cars could cope & trees provide so many more benefits. The traffic cones on stumps are a sorry site

We often forget how far we have come:

➡️ Today almost 50% of EU electricity generation is from renewable energy sources.

➡️ It is not long ago that fossil fuels dominated the EU's electricity mix. This year their share is approaching 1/4 of EU electricity generation.
