And that, my friends, is the joy of riding of a bike 😀 Ace session documenting @cyclinguk.bsky.social Play Together on Pedals project in North Lanarkshire that helps preschool and early primary-aged children – and the adults around them – to enjoy cycling.

This a wonderful read. It touches on something I've noticed, which is how walking or biking makes me feel more connected to my community, because I am seeing people and noticing things I never would in a car.

In a car you are isolated, quite literally walled off from the world around you.
From cycling under the light of moon on a beautiful night, to looking around and adding up the obscene amount of money we spend on cars, this article echoes so much of my thoughts about riding a bike and how CONNECTING it is- to people, to nature, to life- and how cars sever that connection.
I’m driving less. I don’t want to see the world through a driver’s eyes any more
Before I began driving less, I had long had a melancholic sense that the city lifestyle I lived was cut off from the seasons and nature
