The administration thinks the tech industry is inflating the risks that AI likely poses

And the administration has told us that all we need is “strong and smart (High IQ!)” leader

We worry about AI being self-aware, but we ought to worry about that fact the administration is not
September 16, 2026 at 9:22 AM
The administration eliminated the rules limiting power plants' greenhouse emissions while simultaneously denying the need to regulate AI

I think the problem is less that they don't think these things could kill us all and more that they want the two to race to achieve it

While in Ireland, the administration blamed the high cost of fuel on Ukraine bombing Russian refineries

And I'm glad they noticed that a war can affect international economics regardless of how cruel and foolish that war is

But . . .
September 14, 2026 at 9:17 AM
Generally, a diplomatic trip to Ireland is a low risk move for American politicians

But the administration managed to stir a controversy

And give us all a reminder of exactly how skillful they are at unifying a country's people

The administration had the attendees of their convention swear to help them cheat at the election

And it was actually refreshing to see the administration's supporters making a promise I believe they plan to keep
September 12, 2026 at 9:09 AM
We remember what happened on 9/11

We seem to forget that it taught us that we need real intelligence services that tell the administration the truth

And we don't need lengthy wars that don't serve a purpose but do spur the animosity the rest of the world feels toward the US
September 11, 2026 at 9:13 AM
In all the lead up, the pundits were saying that the administration's midterm convention was unusual

After what happened last night, I'd say "unusual" was an understatement
September 10, 2026 at 9:12 AM
The GOP wants to frame this election as "common sense versus crazy"

Which seems like a reasonable way to see the choices in a lot of races

But if you use your time in office supporting everything the administration has done, you can't claim you represent the "common sense" side

Guiliani says Mamdani should skip the 9/11 ceremony

Because he thinks there is something offensive about Mamdany

But it turns out that it's Guiliani who knew about the toxins in the air soon after the towers fell, and he *still* told New Yorkers it was safe to go back!

In Ohio, an armed man launched an attack on the Democratic candidate for governor

Meanwhile, the administration asked SCOTUS to allow their mail-in voting restrictions, again

Whether in Iran or the US, their only ideas are previously rejected arguments and misdirected violence
September 7, 2026 at 9:17 AM
For the first time in this term, the administration is sending a delegation to Kyiv

A delegation that just met with Putin and will bring his ideas to Zelenskyy

So, it's likely more a change of appearances than one of policieis

The UN is backing a new world map that has Africa in its true relative size

Someone get Sharpies to the Oval Office stat!
September 5, 2026 at 9:24 AM
I fully believe the administration's VP is OK with bringing about the end times

It's that he think what he's doing is "God’s work” that I find beyond belief
September 4, 2026 at 9:07 AM
A whistleblower revealed key parts of the USPS plan for carrying out the administration's directives remain in place regardless of the court orders against them

Some day, I'll be saying that I remember when politicians tried to minimize confusion at elections, and kids will just roll their eyes
September 3, 2026 at 9:09 AM
Putin pledged to increase attacks in Ukraine and continue to support Iran

So you can understand why the administration determined Russia was an ally who they would invite to the G20 summit

Regardless of whether any other country wanted them there
September 2, 2026 at 9:36 AM
When US troops are in war zones, some foreign nationals help us

In return, we protect these people and their families

The ICE detainees sent to Africa include Afghanis & Iranis brought to the US *because* their families helped us

So, the military shouldn't count on much help in the future
September 1, 2026 at 9:13 AM
ICE is saying the detainees in Delaney Hall never went on a hunger strike

And as with almost all their claims, the utter lack of evidence to support their claims stands as their proof

Hear me out

The administration wants to go down in history
If you are the first to do something, you have a record that can *never* be broken

If we convince them that being the first president to be removed by the 25th amendment will give them an unbreakable record, they might like the idea

The administration made a deal for Venezuela's oil

With an interim Venezuelan government that has no constitutional legitimacy, has a 25% approval rating, and may collapse because they made this agreement

This isn't a deal - it's just birds of feather
August 29, 2026 at 9:25 AM
Another judge blocked the administration's attempts to restrict mail-in voting

Tomorrow there will be a march on Washington to Defend the Vote

But we all know that the administration is ready to ignore the courts *and* the will of the people
August 28, 2026 at 9:08 AM
Years ago, a Navy officer told the administration digital systems were too complicated, and the administration said they'd get steam catapults back

So, the administration will force the Navy to redesign carriers with outdated tech - costing billions

Because *that's* the promise they want to keep!
August 27, 2026 at 9:06 AM
If the administration changes the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America, the Great Lakes mnemonic will also need to change

With the new letters, the obvious choice is SHAME

And considering the administration's behavior, it's probably more apt
August 26, 2026 at 9:08 AM
I'm not much for believing in God

But I get why a god would want to hang with Dolly more than with some other 80 year olds
August 25, 2026 at 10:51 PM
SCOTUS did not decide that the administration could interfere with mail-in voting

They decided to let an executive order they will review later go into effect while they wait to review it

Because they may not want every administration to always have this power, but they want this one to right now
August 25, 2026 at 9:00 AM
During their first term, the administration tore out the White House Rose Garden

This weekend, they placed statues of the nation's founders on the patio where the garden had been

Replacing a colorful vibrant thing with a tribute to a frozen stylized version of history seems a little on the nose
