According to the US Coast Guard, the year prior to Trump changing our policy to summary execution, only 21% of the vessels interdicted by them off the coast of Venezuela suspected of trafficking drugs had drugs on board. The other 79% had nothing. But now we just kill them all.

The thing that's always frustrated the right wing ideologues who've glommed onto Trump is that he doesn't have the attention span to actually be a committed ideological warrior. He can scream all the right culture war shit, but it's just WWE pugilistic showmanship. He basically has no belief system.

I keep typing words and then deleting them because none of them are sufficient to capture how utterly fucked up and unacceptable this is. And yet it won't move a single Republican to give a damn.
The president of the United States just declared war, actual military war, not a metaphorical one, on a major American city, and one governed by his political opponents.
In any other period, this would be impeachment-worthy.

Exclusive poll: Labour voters are rallying to Jeremy Corbyn.
Nearly half of Labour voters would back a left-Green alliance.
