True story: kids and I were fishing and flying a kite over the lake. Kite fell into water, line broke. Snagged it with fishing line, caught a fish with it reeling it back in. Makes this hit harder!

I was up in NW OH, but I can recognize JGAP anywhere! Hoehnehenge is quite distinctive!

Saw the same two from home in NW OH. May 10 was just before I left, and Oct 10 just after I got back from Beaver Island MI, where I saw them a couple dozen times over the season. You should get up there!

Recently: Strong all-sky aurora during the very active peak of this year's Perseid meteor shower. Up till dawn, with the last couple hours spent in a kayak just offshore Beaver Island, MI USA in perfect weather. Sleep doesn't get missed until the next day on a night like that. Bortle 2 skies.
