This should be exceedingly obvious, but when Stonewall stays up while references to trans people come down, they will measure the silence of cisgender people as concurrence for whatever they plan next, and it still won't protect you in the end. So please get loud. Our mutual survival depends on it.

I love a little found family, especially if it leans heavily on the scooby gang model of misfits that shouldn’t fit together but do and somehow save the world. Also, friends/enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine, and final girl. I’m a sucker for a locked door mystery, too. Or a deserved redemption arc.

What sucks so much on top of this is these fires are an industry tragedy. So many animation workers were already dealing with unemployment and all the bullshit of the past few years and this is really kicking them when they're down. Please help if you can!

Two things that I absolutely adore fell by the wayside this year - writing & reading. I’ve tried to dive headfirst back into both the last few months; succeeded more with one than the other, though. Here’s to a more readerly/writerly 2025. Already got my 1st read picked out.
