In 2010, I left my job in management to pursue a career in academia. After an RMA at the UvA, I did my PhD at the RUG. My dissertation has been downloaded nearly 20,000 times and was published by BRILL (2018). Yesterday, I received the Mallinckrodt Prize for it. A cherry on top of my career change.

My book, _Say Hello to Metamodernism!_ has been reviewed in the journal _English Studies_, which I understand is a rather prestigious European journal. It's overall a positive review, with a few gentle critiques, which I like because it makes it feel more real.
