Read Emily Wilson’s Iliad last year and loved it. Then bought the Odyssey translated by her but still haven’t read it. Now I’ll look like I’m on a bandwagon!

It was Graham Vick, audience free to wander in the centre, action all around. Soldiers next to us, singing while standing at urinals, Marie’s body eventually draped over a balcony above us - an astonishing experience

Certainly a dream team, although many seem to object to Solti. It was the first recording I heard and I tend to stick to my first impressions, hence all the Karajan in my collection!
