How to protect your audios against anyone
I recently read this really good guide here about how to protect your audios: [link to Isapeth's original post]
However, as it is quite technical I want to break it down and also add further tools to make it even more comprehensive and from the point of view of the creator, who want to maximize the protection of this audios:
The honest truth
You cannot make an online audio recording impossible to copy.
If someone can hear your recording, they can potentially capture it. For example, they could record the sound in real time with another device. Anyone promising completely “uncopyable” audio is exaggerating.
What you can do is:
Discourage casual thieves and automated scrapers.
Keep evidence showing that you created the original.
Make stolen copies easier to discover.
Remove or hide stolen material more quickly.
Reduce the personal information exposed during complaints.
