The seemingly normal woman looked around rapidly with wide eyes before looking at Denji.

"U-Uh...I-I don't know what happened, but I'm not evil, I-I swear!!"

She looks down at Denji hopefully...

But, after a few moments, the veins under her skin turned black, and she began writhing in his chain.

"G-GRRGH...."

Her head fell forward for a moment, and her skin turned a more natural shade rather than the deathly pale it was. The claws retracted, and as her head raised, blue eyes were seen.

The two walked in silence, creeping and listening out to the muffled wailing that seemed to be avoiding them.

After some time, the Soldier spoke again.

"It's called the Witch. A new B.O.W. Though I guess a little too successful."

Another look towards the stairs, and then a sigh.

"I'll take point. Need you with me to finish it."

And with that, the Soldier crept upstairs with Gabrielle. Sprawling, abandoned halls stretched out before them.
Another thin trail of blood to be followed.

"This specimen cannot be allowed to escape. Under any circumstances. You understand?
Now that you've seen it, you're part of this. So if either of us fail, it's both our heads on the block. Whether it's this thing...or the higher ups."

But as she listened, very very faintly, she could hear the woman's voice coming from somewhere upstairs, once again quietly crying.

A side door was kicked down, and the Soldier wasted no time, making his way down dark and dusty halls before turning out of sight.
Gabrielle was left alone hovering at the building's entrance.

"Great..."

The Soldier dug in his pocket, shoving a flashlight into Gabrielle's hand before turning on the one on his gun.

"Stand at the entrance. Shoot the thing if you see it, obviously. Too dangerous for you to go wandering."

As if wondering, "So why are you alive?"

But nothing is said, and the Soldier starts walking down the alley the Witch ran through.

"It shouldn't be able to run far. Come on."

Chainsaws rip through bone and tendon, as her teeth tear into his shoulder, forearms, and her claws bury themselves into his chest repeatedly.

The blood spraying onto them both constantly regenerating them in this absolute slugfest.

"𝗜𝗜𝗜𝗜𝗜𝗜𝗘𝗘𝗘𝗘𝗘𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗛𝗛𝗛𝗛𝗛𝗛𝗛𝗛𝗛𝗛𝗛!!!!!!!!!!"

The sound of glass shattering echoes all throughout the street before Denji's own eardrums burst, deafening him.
As he recovers from the sudden shock and pain, he sees the Witch sprinting towards him without sound, claws outstretched.
