You can usually find me on my bicycle somewhere in Minneapolis.
INFJ + ♒. BLM. Free 🇵🇸. Fuck 🧊.
New catch phrase dropping throughout the Twin Cities.

Don't forget: Things are still blooming.

Anyways, this is why women choose the bear.

Here's a picture of my cute little bike just to spite that asshole.

I seem to always get drawn into the tiny parachutes of a dying dandelion. It's a gift to exhale and send each one dancing on air, resettling where it lands.

Woke up earlier than usual and got out on my bike shortly after sunrise. Views of downtown Minneapolis and the Mississippi.

Crossed four Mississippi River bridges this morning on my bike. Not shown: 10th Ave Bridge.

I'm seriously so thrilled to live in a city investing in more bike lanes.

Reading All The Water in the World by @eirencaffall.bsky.social in the sunroom while the rain falls outside. Climate fiction hits a little harder these days.

Somehow managed to make it through the whole week without a ride across the Stone Arch Bridge. Corrected that this morning before the heat settles into Minneapolis.

Another round of smash and grab in northeast Minneapolis. Every car in this parking lot had their windows smashed when I got to Los Campeones NE this morning. Photo of the aftermath.

Everything is awful - AND the gladiolas have started to bloom and the Stone Arch Bridge is unofficially open again in Minneapolis.

I love this city so damn much.

Happy Friday from Minneapolis.

Today's terrifying Minneapolis park snapshot.

Took the extra long way this morning to spend a few minutes down by the Mississippi.

Minnesotans should all get days like this off from work (she says from her desk, longingly staring out the window).

Watching the clouds roll above the back garden. Perfect respite after a long day at work, with too many meetings and not nearly enough time to make measurable progress on my to do list.

Saw this on display at Lake Country Booksellers in White Bear Lake yesterday and had to grab it because I would love to be Neko Case when I grow up.

Made it through the epilogue before tearing up. So looking forward to this.

Hoping it rains so I don't have to get out of the hammock to water. Although, I suppose that resigns me to sticking it out in the hammock, under the red maple, enjoying the drops.

Yes, most things are awful.
AND, the wildflowers I planted last year started to bloom.

Made my first round of calls to Senators Smith and Klobuchar, Representative Omar, and the MN Governor's Office for the day.

Klobuchar: (202) 224-3244
Smith: (202) 224-5641
Omar: (202) 225-4755
Gov Office: (651) 201-3400

Refusing to let apathy win.

Eating up stories is resistance across the country. Feeling the burning light of hope on this warm January night in Minneapolis.

Now more than ever, it's important to dig our heels into community. No one will save us but each other. A scary reality AND a hopeful vision for our future.

How are we fighting against fascism, Minneapolis?
