By “American car companies” I assume you mean Ford/GM/Jeep. But if you look at the list of the most American-made cars” (i.e. made in the US sourced with US materials). None of those three are in the top 15. Meanwhile Tesla tops the list of most America-made cars (it’s held that spot for years)

Not sure where you’re getting your information (but I can guess), but every impartial evaluation of BYD’s driver assistance system finds that Tesla’s FSD is far more advanced. Have any European countries approved BYD’s system (no). Five european countries have approved FSD.

Having flown recently from LAX to Sydney, I’ll tell you that sleeping on that long a flight is almost impossible & recovery from the jet lag takes a couple of days.

In my 40+ years experience auditing car dealership clients, I learned that new car sales are not a meaningful profit center. Repairs, parts and used cars are where they make money. That’s why GM pulled the plug on the EV1.
