The Bride! weirdly shares similarities with Todd Phillips' Joker movies in how it wants to say a lot with its social commentary, but ends up saying very little. Yet, the swings Gyllenhaal takes are far more admirable, even if it works less as a narrative film and more as an extended music video.

Would love to see Demi Moore win the Oscar. Not only is it an incredible performance from an actor who has put in decades of work, but, I believe, it’d be the first time an actor won for a horror movie since Natalie Portman won for Black Swan in 2011.
