Trump's attacks on US higher ed, and Chinese scholars in particular, has been a gift to China's efforts to surge past the US on science and innovation.
One report from Renmin University summed it up: "Thank Trump." 🧵

Sen. Marshall, an MD, co-founded a surgi-center that became a full-service 🏥 raking in 10s of million$ per yr.

He sued patients owing as little as $100 & was suing them while repealing the ACA in the House.

If they didn’t show up in court, he had them arrested. Republicans for debtors prison, eh?

The ultra-wealthy keep trying to pit the rest of us against each other with scare tactics ("communists!" "men in the ladies room!!" "brown people!!!" "drag queens!!!!") to keep us from noticing that our real problem is THEM.

They want us to fight *any* war—except a class war.

I love re-upping this: for decades the main library at UCLA had the generic name University Research Library because the person most responsible for getting it built was an English professor named Hugh G. Dick and the university refused to name it after him.
Tell me a fun fact.

As a Jewish person, I'm horrified by this. This is Holocaust-style imagery used to dehumanize an entire people. Anyone who can't call it a genocide is a coward and failing a basic test of morality and human decency.
Ben Gvir posted this video on twitter today which shows fat and happy Palestinians on a conveyer built going through the Israeli "prison" (torture camp) system and coming out emaciated and maudlin. This is textbook genocidal content.
