repeat-finder — find direct and inverted repeats in any sequence. So your plasmids don't recombine in bacteria.

wobble-d — synonymously recode DNA so that you can get rid of those repeats.

It works offline and is lightweight. Use it! Add to it! Or don't! Don't get your genes all untwisted!

mutate-tn — when I'm designing mutant constructs with @genewiz.bsky.social, they want sequence in DNA format but I usually only know the amino acid mutation. mutate-tn takes a DNA sequence and amino acid mutation in that sequence and gives you back the DNA you need to make

It's just a bunch of stuff I find useful when designing DNA, like:

neutral-dna — generate DNA sequences that aren't predicted to bind transcription factors. Useful for letting DNA elements in a construct breathe without accidentally jamming a TATAA or something somewhere it doesn't belong

3/3 Huge thanks to @allenphilanthro.bsky.social for giving us the freedom to take a big swing at a risky idea. And special props to co-first author @endoeartha.bsky.social who will hopefully soon be running her own lab.

We’re excited to get seeER out into the world and see what people do with it!

2/3 All science is team science. Here, my lab wrangled the DNA, @correalab.bsky.social lab brought the real neuroendocrinology, @neurrriot.bsky.social lab brought the live-imaging wizardry, and @kiransoma.bsky.social lab brought gold-standard steroid hormone measurements.
