Been on FB lately since I’m moving and selling a ton of stuff. It’s like 99% ads and people I don’t know on there. How is it even enjoyable for people anymore? It used to be where I went to get caught up on my friends’ lives…now it’s just a commercial. Kinda sad actually.

Let’s say MM’s story is true and he was unconscious from a fall. There’s no way in hell he could dress himself right now, and there’s no way in hell anyone else would be able to get jeans on him.

I’ve accepted a life changing job in a very red, very small town. Please tell me it’s gonna be ok. Social security won’t be a thing when I’m ready to retire, so this monetary gain is critical for me at the ripe old age of (almost) 50.

I have been job hunting for months now & it’s the most dehumanizing thing I’ve ever experienced. Everything is AI. I had an actual interview with a bot. Asked me about my skills, experience, everything. The disconnection is REAL.

This. Now is not the time for purity tests. Republicans have backed an imperfect candidate that they secretly loathe for a decade now simply because he could win, and they’ve been pushing us backwards the entire time. Democrats need to get on board with ANYONE who can undo the damage.
This point in @jamellebouie.net's latest is something that too many forget: there is no other route to power right now that can defeat the crazed GOP other than the Democratic Party. Fight it out in the primaries, sure. But don't be an asshole about the general if it's not your candidate.

Everyone is panicking about AI, but as someone who uses it daily, multiple times per day, and has to correct it multiple times per day, I don’t think we are as close to having it replace human work as people think we are.

Hear me out: the SAVE act should pass so that all of these voters will see first hand why it’s a bad idea. They’ve been trained to disregard everything Dems say - they need to experience it themselves before they will understand.
