On the BBC News Katya Adler has just described Germany, where the far right AFD keep winning elections, as entering 'uncharted political territory'. Hmmm. Where Germany is concerned I think that territory is pretty well charted.

Never agreed with an article so much. Especially the crux:

Lovely moment in Nürnburg, where I nearly found friends, until I said “ich bin englischer”.
“Oh, ok. Enjoy your beer” Said with amazing disappointment.

Some great stuff on at Reading/Leeds (eg Geese) but I’ve figured out why I’m nonplussed by a lot of it.
When there were grassroots venues by the score (Adelphi in Hull, Fibbers in York, Charlotte in Leicester etc), bands like this were commonplace.
Now they’re on a festival stage already.
