I started my gardening business about a month ago. So far, this has been my favorite project

The client was interested in a wildflower garden. One side is part shade and one side is full sun. I can't wait to see the rest of the garden blossom!

Learned about a new plant today!
This is Disporum uniflorum, or Yellow Fairy Bells. Isn't that the cutest name ever?!

It is native to mountainous forests of Korea and China. Roots can be used for medicinal purposes.

I've learned so much about the nitrogen cycle from this aquarium. It used to look VERY swampy! The plants I had at first needed more nutrients than was available so everything eventually died. My substrate is ~ 1/2 inch soil and 1 inch gravel. The cryptocoryne spiralis seems to be doing best.
A natural looking aquarium with floating plants on top (brazilian pennywort, salvinia minima, red root floaters), anubias growing on driftwood, cryptocoryne spiralis in the center and some oak leaves and bamboo leaves laying at the bottom. A large yellow mystery snail is a the front.

For some reason I'm terrible at making boiled eggs (even when I follow instructions). I was SO happy when these eggs turned out how I wanted 😭 Life is good.
