FYI: Blanche rescinded the ORDER establishing the slush fund, not the underlying “settlement.” The settlement says any changes must be agreed to by ALL parties, not just Todd. This “rescission” isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

What stood out in Platner's interview with @chrislhayes.bsky.social is the way he uses progressive language about community and solidarity and accountability and openness to soften his image. As if to say, 'could a man this aware *really* be capable of doing such horrible things?'

This guy has been a "progressive" for all of five minutes and hasn't held office. His "record" is: prep boy who wanted to kill people, became a mercenary to kill more, got a Nazi tattoo, spent time abusing women and posting misogyny, then ran for Senate. When did he "transform"? A week ago? A day?

What's really astonishing is not the far right authoritarian party doing this, but the near-total lack of <loud public collective action> by university chancellors & presidents to oppose this existential crisis. Almost impossible to overstate how total a failure of leadership this is.
It’s truly astonishing to see how comprehensively the US government is tearing down every part of the system that has made it up until now a world-leading power in science, research, and technological development. The entire world will suffer from this wanton destruction.
