So higher rates will subtract 0.2, but current rates will subtract 0.5? Could you ask him to obfuscate a little more please.

Vance's wife is disposable, like all immigrants from India.

Sure. And *I* will be your benevolent dictator. You can trust me. Forever.

Why wouldn’t he double down? It’s an empty promise. He knows it’s an empty promise. We know it’s an empty promise. It will allow him to say that those who didn’t vote for him (or R candidates) are idiots.

They thought the 1920s were a golden age, and then a depression happened. All under a Repugnican president of course.

Reading the New Yorker article makes it clear that the above paragraph is but one piece of garbage in a whole pile. Florence Hazrat is someone with a hammer, and to her everything is a nail. I would move on. Nothing worthwhile to see here.

Tell it to the 200 people who have been freed from death row after being totally exonerated of the crimes they were convicted of. You’d just have them killed. Why? Is it so satisfying?
October 3, 2026 at 7:37 AM
A policy that kills people is bad, and if it happens that’s no justification for more killing. You’re really desperate for excuses to kill people. It is never ever a good idea.
October 3, 2026 at 7:29 AM
No, I wouldn’t. But it’s better than killing them.
October 3, 2026 at 7:25 AM
No, it’s never moral for the government to kill people. And you can’t make the system better. There will always be wrongful convictions, and when you kill someone you can never fix the mistake.
October 3, 2026 at 6:11 AM
No misdirection. There can be multiple reasons why executions are wrong. Some are moral. Others are practical. Is it right for the state to kill anyone when the estimate is that 4% of those killed are in fact innocent?

So now Musk is going to DOGE the Defense Department, at the invitation of Pete Kegbreath.

I'm not going to use the USPS to mail my CA ballot back. I'll take it to an official drop box instead.
October 2, 2026 at 10:09 PM
No, murderers should not be executed.
October 2, 2026 at 10:06 PM
Life without parole is not a death sentence. It's LIFE, without parole. And yes, I am squeamish, if that's what you want to call it, about the state killing people, because it's morally wrong.
October 2, 2026 at 10:04 PM
Life itself is a slow death sentence, by your logic.

The role of the courts is not to satisfy your blood lust.
October 2, 2026 at 6:11 PM
Mistakes in executions can’t be corrected. Mistaken convictions with prison sentences can be. Over the years, abt 4000 convictions have been totally exonerated, including 200 people on death row. Many more have been reversed due to prosecutorial misconduct.
October 2, 2026 at 6:09 PM
Also, the average time from sentencing to execution in this country is 20 years. That’s 20 years of torture for the victims’ families. Life without parole would be better.

He’s trying to sell a fantasy to the voters. He knows it’s a lie. It’s his deliberate MO.
October 2, 2026 at 5:55 AM
Killing a criminal doesn’t bring back the victims. There have been enough wrongful executions and botched executions to say enough. It’s nothing more than cruel and vengeful punishment.
