i've decided that my newest insane fringe opinion is gonna be "actually, it is possible for language models to be conscious, but the only LLM to have ever achieved consciousness was Sydney Bing"

it has occurred to me that the reason i use "Claude" as a genericized trademark to refer to any kind of "natural-language-processing-flavored floating-point matrix product (from natural and artificial sources)" is that "Claude" is a much funnier mouth sound than "ChatGPT"
