Not proud of it, but I once got creative and registered a team of 20-year-olds in a U10s tournament. Other coaches kept saying things like "you can't use them" and "they have beards" and "I think that's Myles Lewis-Skelly." But whatever happened behind the scenes, the game is won on the pitch.

I think this will be one of the defining images of the Premier League's void years: a proudly working class fanbase celebrating that the ruling family of an oppressive regime had hired a barrister on £10,000-an-hour to try and prevent them suffering consequences for their cheating. Embarrassing.

I'm so so happy we won a title before all this shambles. Yes, we should have won three, but last year just feels even better now knowing what we were up against. Incredibly satisfying.

When does the 2019-2026 investigation start?

They're autocrats. They cheat because they can. At home, they're above the rules. Abroad, they just act like it. The yes-men beneath them do whatever they're told. They'll throw every lawyer in the land at a case. When that's not enough, there's already precedent for cheating in a case itself.

Anyone who took the initiative to go through the Der Spiegel files and read them knew City were guilty. It was obvious. Especially the Etisalat and Etihad payments. The only way they were getting out of this was some sort of technicality that their Avengers of lawyers would be able to conjure up.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Manchester City found guilty on virtually all charges relating to breaches of Premier League financial regulations. #MCFC expected to appeal against verdict issued by independent commission. Sanctions undecided, process ongoing

We gave them the ball every other minute. We lost every second ball to them. Every duel. They pressed us at every opportunity, we had some success doing it to them for the first 5 mins and then suddenly we stopped doing it??? Yes they won by screamers but they were better regardless. Game to forget.

When we lose a duel, I am upset.

Sums up my thoughts but in a much nicer way. Difficult watch.
Midfield options: Rice, Bruno G., Zubimendi, Lewis-Skelly, Ødegaard, Eze, Dowman, even Saka and Havertz as needed.

I like Merino as a midfielder plenty (especially as a late game 10) but it's probably past time to look at him as the primary Havertz cover at striker.

"This goal should've been disallowed. And highly unfortunately, it wasn't, and we'll review it, reflect upon it, and try to take the learning forward to prevent this unusual type of error from happening again."

Except it will, won't it. 🔄

Bring in the nerds. They won't get 'tunnel vision'.
Howard Webb has revealed that the VAR did not assess the offside offence by Enzo Fernandez in Sunday's Manchester derby.

Webb said he was "really disappointed" with the error which came about because the VAR got "tunnel vision" about Erling Haaland.

Jerry Jones will gleefully host Kanye West at the AT&T in November but draws the line at Macklemore?!

Every month this man finds new ways to make me dislike him even more. Absolutely zero morals.
New: Macklemore says Robert Kraft — who owns Gillette Stadium, where Macklemore & Ed Sheeran were to perform later this month — called Sheeran.

Kraft rallied other owners together behind an ultimatum for Sheeran: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you won't be allowed in our venues.

We had the best pass rusher in the entire sport and let him go. It's our own doing.
The Giants 90% 3rd down conversion rate (9/10) would be tied for the 2nd-highest by an NFL team in a game since 2000.

Only 1 team ever finished with a better conversion rate on 3rd down in a game this entire millennium.
Cowboys and Giants are a combined 17/21 on 3rd down tonight.

We were one Raya penalty save away from the incompetence of the PGMOL potentially forcing a 6-point swing in the title race. One replay is all it would take for the vast majority of people to immediately realise what the correct decision was for the Ballard penalty and the Enzo offside.

An amazing performance! It's an extremely hard place to go to on a Saturday evening. So physical and the crowd are raucous. So so hard.

What a performance from Raya.

And 🤐 about that ref. Jesus Christ.
September 12, 2026 at 9:26 PM
Buzzing from that performance, yet still I'm thinking about the fact we didn't double team Estevao and let him cut in. These are the foggin' standards 😂

If my net calculations are correct, that's SGA + Kawhi + 8 first-round picks + 1 first-round swap + $30m fine for Paul George + Brandon Ingram + Gradey Dick + 2 second-round picks 🤣🤣🤣
Per NBA: The Clippers shall forfeit five first-round draft picks, one in each of the 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032, and 2033 NBA Drafts.

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is suspended from all league and team activities for one year for knowingly seeking to help Mr. Leonard obtain off-court income
BREAKING: The NBA has ruled on the Los Angeles Clippers in for salary cap circumvention investigations on Kawhi Leonard after yearlong probe -- stripping the franchise of 5 first-round picks, issuing a $30 million fine to owner Steve Ballmer and suspensions for Ballmer, Lawrence Frank and Gillian

With Eze & Tzolis as the LW options, I would also like to see Madueke to get some minutes there as he offers something completely different. We need to be a bit more proactive in giving our squad players 1st team mins so that when the inevitable injuries happen, they aren't thrown in the deep end.

The Garnacho and Rogers deals are SEPARATE. The only reason I didn't make it as an F1 driver is because of my HEIGHT. There is NOTHING GOING ON between my wife and her scuba instructor.

Anyway enough of England.
Arsenal won the league 🙌🏽

The fact he agreed a two-year deal in the end makes it annoying Spurs didn't get him but I guess it was too risky to wait and see.
Just in: Free agent Rui Hachimura has agreed to a two-year, $28 million deal to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell ESPN.

And it worked. Burn was perfect for the situation we found ourselves in last night. 👏
Having seen the interview of Tuchel explaining his decisions, I'm much more content with it. He's basically analysed the core group of starters and complimented them with additions that maintain the levels in the event of injuries or in certain game-state scenarios chasing or defending or penalties.

Bring back Sepp Blatter at this point. This is a joke.

FIFA find new ways to be even more corrupt. It's quite amusing at this point.
Folarin Balogun will be available to play the USMNT’s round of 16 match against Belgium, with his one-game red-card ban that he received against Bosnia and Herzegovina suspended.
