It's great to see one more state moving in the right direction to allow the public to install balcony solar.

This is an unbelievable regression in emissions standards
The EPA said if power plants used only for data centers are not be subject to the federal Clean Air Act's Acid Rain Program, which has been key to the dramatic reduction of smog and soot pollution from industrial facilities.

Per @reuters.com
EPA says power for data centers can sidestep pollution laws
Power sources providing electricity only to data centers and not the public grid may not be subject to federal pollution laws, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said on ‌Monday.

This is in the middle of a food court where every shop is handing out non-recyclable, non-compostable trash. There are no actual trash cans in sight. Visual metaphor for why end users aren’t responsible, producers and systems set us up to fail.

We need to stop treating fossil fuel funded climate deniers as legitimate good fair participants in democratic debate and start treating them like the self interested shills that they are.
In Canada, it turns out that all that "grassroots support" for oil and gas is simply the Conservative Party and the fossil fuel industry in a trenchcoat. @johnvaillant.bsky.social
Three guesses: who funded all the campaigns against the Canadian Climate Plan? First two don’t count.
