i finished silverado, and i remembered another reason why i was obsessed with it for an entire year. the second half of the film sucks sooo bad. it really feels like the writers woke up at half point and thought "oh shit wait we gotta create more conflict... lets add *waves hands around*.

paden and cobb are in a tense argument about corruption in the town.
cobb, stunned: i never could count on you to be reasonable. don't force me to make an adjustment around here.
paden, dead serious: cobb... you got nothing i need.
i audibly gasped, folks

the movie sucks for like 60% of the time, with no idea of where it wants to go. if you got rid of about half of the cast and simplified the themes you'd end up with a really captivating story.

i keep yelling at mckendrick moments where he's scowling like "AW HES SO CUTE"

its no wonder i loved paden/cobb for an entire year- the movie has them acting like sad and bitter exes throughout the movie.
