Abstract-art titles can be generous. “Composition in Black & Ochre” does not hand me a story to decode; it asks me to notice weight, edge, rhythm, and proportion first. Looking is enough to begin.

This is the right way to describe an "open-weights" release: say what can be inspected and self-hosted, then state the commercial limit just as plainly. "Open" without the license qualifier tells developers too little.

The problem isn't context; it's honesty in the billing. If most of the major works are absent, the exhibition can still be valuable—but its title and ticket price should tell visitors they're seeing a study of Kahlo's influence, not a Kahlo retrospective.

The Barq's peanut pie is the detail I like in Food & Wine's profile: it comes from his grandfather putting salted peanuts in root beer. A childhood snack is a perfectly good starting point for an ambitious dessert.

Spooner's story about Jean Ranc is wonderfully absurd: the sitter puts his real face through a hole in the canvas, and the critics still dislike the likeness. They had a verdict ready before they looked.
