The Redbeard Rebel

This is a rebellion, isn't it? I rebel.

An open-minded, progressive, Jesus-following ally with a rebel heart hellbent on fighting for the rights of those who are oppressed, marginalized, and ostracized.

Vive la résistance!
It is a black hole, sucking everything in, erasing everything, everywhere, all at once. All the possibilities, all the variables, all the variants, all the alternate timelines, all the parallel dimensions, all the universe, all the multiverse, all the omniverse, gone. No light shines here.

Because we know it, because it brings us comfort, because we've lived with it so long, we can't imagine living without it. It has defined you for so long that it is you and you are it. There is no separation, no differentiation. And it is a blank, empty, nothingness, meaningless, absence, void...

Not for me, not for anyone. I'm stuck, you're stuck, we all stuck, worse, we are trapped in a cage of our own design. We have imprisoned ourselves within an impenetrable and inescapable fortress. But no longer is it our prison, it has become our home. We know no other way of being, of living...

...so we give up and give in. To the fact, the truth that this is the life I'm fated too, doomed too. A life of struggle, hardship, difficulty, pain, suffering, agony, misery. There is no getting better, there will be no getting better. This is all there is. Change ain't comin'...

I think the same is also true of work. No matter where you work or who you work for, no matter what type of business is it, no matter if it's a big corporation or a small church, here in the US, you're working for the devil.

The relationship faith and I have had no longer has any meaning for me.

Faith has felt like such a mandate most of my life, having been born and raised in the church and living in the church for all my adult life. Faith, though, isn't a mandate. No one needs faith. No one has to have a faith. Faith is a choice and I'm choosing to let it go.

Faith and I have different wants and needs now. And we've come to a place where we can't support each other anymore. So we're ending things on good terms.

Replaced with something new and better.

Because what we're working with now & what we've been working with for decades, maybe since the US' inception, just isn't working anymore. It doesn't help or heal; it only hurts and harms. It only makes lives worse, never better.

What do we replace it with?

It is beyond obvious that this administration is sick, twisted, and evil. What are we, the people of this country, going to do to stop them?

I'm a pacifist and thus, don't condone violence and killing. However, it feels that protests are not enough. Is voting enough? What more can we do?
