At this point I’m here to yell about politics, share and look at birds, call out bad UX, and influence the matriarchy.
Good.

Just watched the Oasis documentary in theaters and was instantly transported back to the Rose Bowl where we saw them live in 2025. Mega.

I just want like, 4 days with the shades drawn, a pile of good fiction books, my fan on, and Antiques Roadshow playing in the background.

Happy 72nd Birthday to Ruby Bridges, who at the age of 6 desegregated the New Orleans public schools.

She’s younger than 30 senators and our last two presidents—and only 7 years older than Barack Obama.

The past isn’t past.

*tornado sirens going off*

Me, loading dishwasher: Oh for F sake. What now?!

*cellphone alert goes off*

Me: Wah, wah, wah! I hear ya. I don’t care. *turns on Antiques Roadshow*

[I’m fine. Welcome to tornados in the Midwest.]

I’m not the first person to make this observation but the prevalence of nauseating ai-generated business logos means stuff like this hits CRAZY for me now

What’s it called when you’re reading a book that’s not particularly good, but not bad? I’m gonna finish it but I’m not really enjoying it. It’s like eating fast food. Is there a word? Help me #BookSky.

I can’t wait to own this on DVD and watch it back to back with Who Framed Roger Rabbit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Coyote vs Acme. Perfection and a happy heart for Looney Tunes fans!

I’m FINALLY seeing Coyote vs Acme tonight and my Xennial Roger Rabbit-loving soul is so excited I can hardly stand it.

The past month has been rough. I hope September is gentler.
1. cleaned out my childhood home
2. moved father to assisted living, and now his primary caregiver
3. cat got really sick, almost lost him
4. I got e coli, probably from this garbage food safety under this administration

Be gentle, folks.

Come hang out with me in Orlando! I'll be speaking with my team on a panel about aligning stakeholders, workshopping competing goals, and focusing on the small-step strategies that make your web goals possible. (You don't have to go big or go home!)

my brain, in a nutshell. thanks, adhd.
I just want like a year off from my eight million day jobs to actually dig in on this project and give it all the best parts of myself and I'm so resentful that this is simply not an option and instead I am forced to cram it in through fits and starts while my brain feels like a pudding.

Listen, I’m not saying things are okay right now. But I am saying that reading in bed while watching Field of Dreams at low volume is slightly healing *something* in my soul.
