What's going on with Spain? Have they not reached a decision? Also I think we can rule Ireland out as they have NOT been given an extension. Anyone know anything more on this?

Just listened to Georgia's Junior Eurovision entry. Certainly weaker then normal - it's a sweet song and all and to be fair quite catchy, but I can't see it having major success in Malta. 🇬🇪

I can see RTVE returning in 2027.
It depends wether they see the rule changes as a response to Israel, and if they see them sufficient enough to facilitate a return.
In some ways, the rule that puts into stone that war-torn or politically tense countries can't host the contest is what RTVE wanted.

I’m reletivly new to Eurovision (Watched the grand final no context 2023, semis and final in 2024 and the followed the contest in 2025 & 2026) so should I expect much from the broadcaster deadline tommorow?

The 12 MPs banned from Israel is wholly disgraceful. It is a form of political oppressions, they say things you don’t like doesn’t mean you can ban them from your country.

I’ve been very reluctant to get into Eurovision Asia - an underlying feeling that it takes away from Eurovision? I don’t know. For that reason I’ve never got quite into the swing of it. But, South Korea has raised the interest! 🇰🇷

I have seen multiple reports saying Montenegro have already withdrawn from the contest. Montenegro brought something distinct to the Eurovision Song Contest and I loved their 2026 national selection Montesong. Such a shame if they have to withdraw. 🇲🇪

Whilst I admit I am disappointed by AVROTROS’s desision, I completely respect it. They shouldn’t participate on the grounds of “I’m scared another broadcaster will take it and then it’s gone.” I hope NPO and the other Dutch broadcasters respect this desision. 🇳🇱

Last night, awoken to rustling in the hedge. Shone a torch at them and they seemed to scamper. Later learnt from CCTV that they were two adult men, one had a long bladed weapon. Really terrifies me that these people think it’s ok to enter someone property with a threatening object.

With the new EBU rules, I can certainly say I have a lot more confidence in the 5 boycotting countries returning to the contest. In order of the likeliness I would put it as:
1. Slovenia
2. Netherlands
3. Ireland
