The Moon and Jupiter this morning. My camera refused to focus this time, sadly. And this was the better shot I had managed to get.

For the autumn equinox today, I took my Hemera out for a solo trail ride through Goldenhills in Star Stable.

Watching 2,977 drones form the outline of the Twin Towers over NYC is a breathtaking reminder of what was lost 25 years ago. One light for every life. We hold their memories forever. 🕯️ #NeverForget #TwinTowers #911Memorial

Astrophotographer Adam (AJ) Smadi caught this image a few hours ago from Washington state.
A thin crescent Moon, sunlight illuminating the rugged lunar surface.
And 2,400 times farther away—and on the other side of the Sun—mighty Jupiter, and its moons Io (left) and Ganymede (right).

With clouds keeping me from photographing the eclipse in its final phase, I opted to capture it instead using the Sky Tonight mobile app.
