Morning everyone. Do we have your permission to have a right old go at Reform-led councils this week?

Very well. No.2: Wakefield. Because the new manufactured Enemy of the People is the parent who can't afford to make ends meet.

Interesting discussions with my family yesterday about Andy Burnham.

No support for him and what he is doing.

My mum is a bit supporter of his but cannot understand what he is doing and admits I was right to be critical of him right from when this started.

The First Day - Norfolk County Council and the motions voted on by the Reform-led Council. It doesn't bode well... the negativity and divisiveness starts to keep the knuckle-draggers happy. I don't think they've mentioned flags yet, but I'm sure they will. eastangliabylines.co.uk/regions/norf...

@mrjamesob.bsky.social You have become unbearable recently and I find myself turning you off every day.The rubbish you are spouting about SKS is just distasteful and unbelievably distorted at best. SKS is an excellent PM, but u choose not to focus on his obvious qualities. Awful journalism.

The FTSE 100 jumped 1.6% today to a record high.

That suggests a good level of economic stability and confidence in the UK. It will boost the value of investments and pensions and overall should give companies the confidence to grow...

...so expect to hear little of this across the media.

More good news about the UK economy, as the IMF upgrades their forecast of UK growth this year to 1.6%.

But look at these top stories - the Telegraph the IMF downgrading growth - but that was last year, when the Tories were in power for half of it & their polices impacting the majority of the year.

The suggestion here is that sales value has gone down, but sales volume has gone up.

If true, that means prices are lower.

Is that not good news for people who are still suffering from the Tory choas that lead to 10% inflation?
