Just finished: selvedge denim Type III jacket with vintage fabric found at a charity rummage.

Extra buttonhole for glasses, copper donut hole buttons, lined with a cotton stripe.

The small welt pocket in the lining just happened to be perfect for gum packets.

My first pair of jeans. Raw Japanese selvedge denim from Fishman Fabrics in Chicago.

I drafted a pleated trouser pant with a fishtail back, rear double welt pockets, and side seam pockets.

Copper donut hole suspender buttons and button fly.

Definitely some finish issues, but I'm happy with them.

Found some selvedge denim at a fabric rummage recently. It still had the price tag on it from Minnesota Fabrics for $0.59 a yard.

Minnesota Fabrics went out of business in 1989, so this fabric is at least that old.

With just barely two yards, I plan on making a Type III llLevi style jacket.

Made myself a Monte Cristo sandwich with a croissant for the bread. I'm calling it a "Monte Crissanto" (or something like that).

Topped with sour cherry jam and maple syrup.

Move over Sunday brunch, I'm coming for you.

Got my wife a concrete porch goose for her birthday and I sewed a smart little dress out of scrap fabric. Admittedly, I wasn't sure whether to do arm holes or just treat it like a poncho. In the end, I went with poncho but I tried to give the "shoulders" some structure.

A trio of cotton sateen button up shirts I made. Pattern is self drafted (you can tell in spots).

I'm really pleased with the contrasting topstitching on the green shirt.

The brown shirt is a western style with piping and pocket flaps.

The artist explains that the title, "My Florist is a Dick, is an ironic statement referring to the surprise we'd feel if the local Florist was a "sadisticasshole," but that we should not be surprised that cops are often dicks who abuse power."

My second modern garment.

Made with a deep blue brushed twill and top stitched with brown thread. It's a cross of a French chore coat and a military field jacket.

Vintage copper buttons and a half lining out of an old curtain. Buttonholes finished by hand.

I'm unreasonably proud of this one.

My first modern, machine sewed garment. Drafted my own pattern and made from linen.

Definitely some room for improvement in places, but happy with the overall result.

Tim Walz addressed Michael Rulli's statement on the town hall

Rulli: "I am terribly sorry I will be unable to attend your pathetic spectacle in person on Monday."

WALZ: I THINK THAT'S GONNA COME BACK AND BITE HIM IN THE ASS.

At the Tim Walz townhall in Youngstown, Ohio.

Streets are lined with people waiting to get in and the theater is packed.

Too bad Rulli isn't here to blame George Soros.
