I've been consistently reading DD since Shadowland, but went back and read Bendis, Brubaker, Miller, and some of the Lee stuff. This whole journey isn't new to me, but a lot is! Excited to see the entire picture when I finish in two years.
DAREDEVIL/DEADPOOL ANNUAL #1 (1997)

I knew this was coming but wondered what story it could possibly tell, color me surprised the whole thing is written to retcon that the woman DD knocks out of a window (and presumably kills) in Man Without Fear was actually Typhoid Mary? Bollocks

DAREDEVIL #366

Mr. Fear inacts a plan to trap DD on Ryker's Island by poisoning the inmates with his fear gas, a suped-up Gladiator appears as his henchman, but it's a new one and not Melvin Potter.

DAREDEVIL #-1

The Man without fear's story from "Flashback Month" retcons his origin in major ways, showing Jack accompanying him to his move-in at Columbia. No DD action to be found, and not even a hint of Elektra

DAREDEVIL #365

Mr. Fear's plans are coming together and they invovle framing MOLTEN MAN.

Joe Kelly has officially come on board as the main writer, and he does...fine... but there are just so many subplots already going here. Not great, the Kevin Smith reboot looms in the horizon.

DAREDEVIL #364

Foggy finally stands up to Sharpe, while Matt saves Karen from Insomnia. The breadcrumbs for the mysterious benefactor of WFSK clearly pointed at Kingpin, but the mastermind is revealed to be MR FEAR
April 24, 2026 at 7:35 PM
DAREDEVIL #363

Gene Colan returns! His first in over 200 issues. DD fights a new villain, Insomnia, somehow revealed to be the boss of WFSK where Karen works (though she has a boss of her own…). Sharpe tries to sabotage Foggy and Liz’s relationship
April 24, 2026 at 7:33 PM
DAREDEVIL #362

Rosalind’s history is revealed, which include mob ties. Weird issue!
April 24, 2026 at 7:30 PM
DAREDEVIL #361

DD tries to help BW fight Gargoyle but it’s clear she’s still distraught from the Avenegrs being defeated by Onslaught. Another TMNT joke is made, and Deuce the Devil Dog makes his debut.
April 24, 2026 at 7:29 PM
DAREDEVIL #360

The truth, that Rosalind is Foggy’s real mother, is revealed. Matt spends the whole issue fighting Absorbing Man (it’s good!)
April 24, 2026 at 7:05 PM
DAREDEVIL #359

Karen’s radio show makes DD the topic for the night, with callers revealing all their theories about him. A tease is made about Rosalind Sharpe mistreating Foggy’s father in some way.
April 24, 2026 at 7:03 PM
DAREDEVIL #358

Mysterio makes a plot to scam people into paying for superhero insurance but is foiled by DD, who gives credit to Foggy to get him brownie points with Liz Allen. Karen and Matt have an argument when he’s caught in the news visiting Avengers Mansion to check on BW (she’s not there)

DAREDEVIL #357

Eel was just using the Enforcers and after escaping their capture, DD brings him to court to get Hyde’s charges thrown out. Karen’s surprise new job is revealed; she’s a late night DJ for Wilson Fisk’s radio station
April 24, 2026 at 6:55 PM
DAREDEVIL #356

Matt teams up with misty knight briefly to prove Hyde is innocent, which leads to the reveal of new villain THE EEL. Karen teases having a new job but won’t reveal it. Ox of the enforcers returns, despite having died back years ago. Wikia tells me he’s one of the Jackal’s clones.

DAREDEVIL #355

After a fight with Pyro, DD agrees to represent Hyde, convinced he’s innocent of murder. Love is in the air for Foggy

DAREDEVIL #354

A Clone Saga tie-in where DD meets Ben Reilly and they bond over their wild storylines the past few years. Matt accepts Rosalind Sharpe’s offer, which comes with his first assignment: defending Mr Hyde in court

It’s profoundly ignorant to suggest that the Pope should be fighting crime on behalf of the Catholic Church. Anyone who was remotely familiar with Roman Catholicism would know that that’s what Daredevil is for

DAREDEVIL #353

Hyde is in this, yes, but this one is largely about Matt writing off his return to public life, one that creates a peculiar trail no one seems curious about, couple with an offer from a new law partner, Rosalind Sharpe.

DAREDEVIL #352

The cover is mostly a lie, as Bullseye only appears in an illusion crafted by Lady Mastermind.

Things are rough right now in DD world, you can feel the story and art going off the rails, making the reboot somewhat necessary.

DAREDEVIL #351

With apologies to 349, this one takes the cake for worst art across the series.

A fake supervillain is tricking low level thugs to work for him, good idea, bad visual execution.

I also don’t think DD would stop fare jumpers.

DAREDEVIL #350

A trippy descent into Matt’s mind and a closed loop on the guilt he’s had over the woman he killed in MWOF. the JMD run ends, also stick being back seems to have been real?

DAREDEVIL #349

Matt and Karen rekindle their romance, while Matt also goes on to find the fire in his gut thanks to Stick's return.

I was prepared to say this has some of the worst art in DD history, but the final splash is quite good.

Two more side quests before I'm back to the main series.

First, GREEN GOBLIN #6, the series about Phillip Urich (Nephew to Ben) and his attempted heroic turn as the character. DD appears to help him fend off villain hired to hurt his uncle. Mediocre!

Another side quest, the four-issue TYPHOID

Written by, who else, Ann Nocenti, with art by John Van Fleet, the series positions Typhoid as a private investigator looking into the murder of sex workers in NY. Interesting precursor to Bendis' DD work IMO

A brief interlude to some side issues before we return to the main DD book, as he is front and center in three issues of the Marvel series OVER THE EDGE.
