So the new plan is to agitate and consequently oxygenate the large, shallow pool of warm water, in turn separating and spreading the algae spores? I can't see how that could possibly go wrong.

He was always a terrible person. The current housing price issues in this country can be directly linked to him. Everyone likes to point at Thatcher for the housing issue, but the rampant rise in rent and house prices starts with TBs "why not buy a second home and rent it" plan.

Oh, absolutely. I just dislike the idea that, if we change from FPTP, it will magically make people vote differently. There will just be new and different issues.

The company that owns the data centre is almost certainly not in that local area. Companies pay bills as they come in. They will have hundreds. They won't ever collate "do I have gas, electric, water, rates etc etc" for every site. That's not how any of them work.

One of my friends was complaining about reform winning in his area and how FPTP was to blame. I did a basic transferable vote tally, and using best/worst case scenario (all labour and green moved to lib dem), reform still won when all the cons switched to reform.

The only people pushing AI are those that can make money from it. It's not the next industrial revolution, it's the next thalidomide or lead in petrol - something that has a minor upside, but its eventual issues are going to be looked back on with a "how could they be so stupid?" attitude.

If the commons actually wanted to, they can completely override the lords, there's deliberate mechanisms to allow it. This was *allowed* to die at the lords, because then MPs don't get asked difficult questions at election time.

He didn't "take over" Venezuela, he had troops abduct a foreign leader with the help of that leaders adversary. It was the action of a rogue state.

Driving licences are issued by states, so doesn't have the federal reach needed. You could do it with social security numbers, given those are federally issued. But it's the other half that's important - the US has zero privacy protections.

It's also based on the fact that most countries in the EU have a government issued ID card and central database of same, alongside extremely strong privacy rights. Most of the other countries looking at implementing agree verification have neither.

The problem is, if any thought went into this at all, it stopped at Microsoft, Apple, and Google. IOS is the operating system running on Cisco devices, it's an OS, does it need age verification? BSD which underpins a lot of software firewalls is an OS. And there are more.

I was trying to think of a good analogy, the best I could come up with was - instead of having a bouncer/door man at the bar checking your age; they stand outside the door of your house, and you can't leave without an age check, because you might go to a bar.

It's basically protectionism for Microsoft, Apple, and Google. Their operating systems *really* want you to use an online account. How this is even remotely workable in an enterprise estate is beyond me.

This seems flawed, because it talks about the cost of training the model and then says "which millions will use". But using the model increases the material cost of the model - more electricity, co2 etc etc. It's not like model built, everything is now free.

That would be the party that overruled a council to cosy up to trump; that cosied up to trump so he'd land planes at the airport they bought and squandered money on; that lied multiple times about their legal counsel; that gave contracts to their buddies etc anyone voting SNP isn't paying attention

NASAs annual budget is about 4% of the US military budget. Anyone that thinks NASA is the problem isn't paying attention.
