To anyone wondering what's wrong with this, the energy emitted at each wavelength only increases as an object gets hotter. The peak wavelength might shift out of the visible spectrum, but the object will still be emitting plenty of visible light (and more than it would do at a lower temperature).

At least "furloughed" doesn't mean "fired". Sounds like it's an issue of the company having no money rather than firing people to avoid paying out bonuses (in which case they'd've presumably just fired everyone instead of keeping them employed). Hopefully they can be paid now the game is a success.

This image always annoys me because of "peepee friction pleasure", which a) sounds very American (the word peepee doesn't scan as British at all) and b) is not the actual ridiculous British slang phrase for sex, which is "rumpy-pumpy".

It's like leftist infighting, it's somehow easier to get annoyed at people who are ideologically closer to you, like a near miss is more disappointing than being completely off-target.

Having a mattress laying directly on the floor means there's no air circulation, which can cause mould (consider: you spend several hours every day lying on the mattress, sweating; it needs airflow to dry out). If you don't have a bed frame you can lift the mattress up onto its side daily instead.
