Yeah I’ve been thinking about that too but my internal concept of how that looks is the new species form would still use Gimbal’s color palette primarily. It’s not hard for me to see him in the new species, but it is hard to divorce him from his color palette or change it significantly.

Or am I making a new OC at that point that is separate from Gimbal? That’s the part I’m going to probably struggle with the most personally. Cause, of course, Gimbal is me, but will I still feel that way with a fully different look? IDK

Yeah that’s true. Right now I’m trying to sketch out some ideas and build a better picture of what I’m envisioning. One of the bigger concerns I have is how far can I go and still feel like the name and body are still one? Like if I add to many colors and change the fur patterns, is it still Gimbal?

Idk maybe I'm over complicating this but it feels like a big decision.

I do have other OC ideas I want to make but this idea just kinda hit me this week and I cant get it out of my head.

The thing I like about the lore of the Drazerk too is that they are somewhat shape shifters and have a secondary form. I could make that form a maned wolf and that would keep Gimbal's past canon and let me keep using the leggy form when it makes sense.

I have loved the maned wolf form Gimbal currently takes, but I have had my eyes on the Drazerk species that ThanShuhai made for a long long time. I have been toying with making a new character based on my Cali adventures, and I still may, but that got me thinking about changing my species entirely.

I’ve just been on go, go, go mode for too long without a meaningful break.

This project is not going to end anytime soon. I’m the primary POC and handler at my company for a subcontractor that is just getting started up working on site on the most critical path work we will have for the remainder of the project, and they have been having a lot of growing pains.

But yeah, it stung a bit to hear how obvious it is to others that the long hours and new responsibilities are starting to wear on me.

They were kinda just joking about it but they’re really not wrong at all. The last month at work has been exhausting and just… a lot. It’s definitely taken a toll on me mentally and I do see the effect it’s had on my demeanor at work. Going to take a little step back and try and reset soon.
