Quaker poet, 🏳️‍🌈, 🏳️‍⚧️, parent, neurodivergent, going through my midlife awakening
As my 53rd year begins I am filled with awe and wonder at the beauty in and around me. This month I will begin the task of being the Presiding Clerk of Sierra-Cascades Yearly Meeting of Friends. I will be the first openly transgender woman to serve in that role in a Quaker Yearly Meeting.

Trans Day of Remembrance Grounding
There are so many things around us trying to distract our focus, to pull us away from the truth of who we are. Before we read the list of names let’s take some time to be present, to prepare ourselves, to breathe. Take a moment to get into a comfortable standing or seated position. Feel the ground beneath your feet. Feel the air flowing around us, connecting us to each other and the cycles of nature.
