UPDATE ON MY SUSPENSION
I can confirm that I have indeed been suspended from the Green Party. The only reason given for my immediate suspension is that I allegedly 'brought the party into disrepute' by choosing to run for a reserved female space on Green Party Council as a trans woman. In the Greens, suspensions are not a guilty verdict. I was not found guilty of breaking any rules whatsoever. The only actual disciplinary allegations against me are that I allegedly was rude to people on the internet, and that I 'gossiped'. *I was not suspended for any of this.*
The only reason given for my IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION was:
"EF's recent election to GPC and the accompanying media interest"
I was suspended just 8 days after being elected, in a secret group chat discussion which included just 13 of the 36 members of GPC.
My critics submitted 100 pages of transphobic articles as 'evidence', while I was banned from submitting anything in my defence and was not allowed to see the charges. There was no investigation and no formal hearing. *I was simply told that I had 'brought the party into disrepute' by being elected to a women's role whilst trans.*
