Glad 60 Minutes is doing a Jacob Wohl story literally nine years after I reported on that guy. One time he was pretending a scam website he was running wasn't his, so I called the number on the website and it went to his mom's voicemail. Jacob is like training wheels for investigative journalists.

A state that redraws its legislative maps before every election to maximize advantage for the incumbent party is not a democracy or a republic and in any case obviously violates the guarantee clause, among many others. Even if there is no further escalation (and what has been done is already beyond the pale) the casual fucking threat is more than enough. We recognize the words "I am going to kill you and your entire family" for what they are when it's some random asshole saying them never mind the US president.

Anyway if the Iranians conduct a catastrophic terrorist strike in CONUS I suspect Americans will find that the international community’s response is dramatically less supportive than after 9/11. Threaten genocide and brag about targeting civilians is a FAFO move.
