MIGRANTS! Important!

For electoral purposes, you are a resident if you’re in New Zealand legally and not required to leave within a specific time, and have lived in New Zealand continuously for 12 months or more.

This will be a lot more people than are aware of this.

The "acceptable standards of health" (ASH) is a blight on our immigration system, that discriminates against disabled people (often children of people who want to immigrate). Disabled people are not a "burden", they are a part of our whānau and communities.

Hmm, a good day would likely involve a delicious brekkie incl eggs, hash browns, maybe waffles; sunshine, time at the beach, playing with the puppy, hanging with my kid(s) and nieces & nephews, maybe some boardgames, no jobs that need doing and easy prep food for snacks! ##SecretSantaAoNZ
What would a good day look like for you? I’ve lots of versions of a good day. #SecretSantaAoNZ Road trip with a friend, chips & lollies, music - sing along stuff, conversation. Cafe, fruit stall, gallery stops. How about you? @whatthehall.bsky.social @afcossham.bsky.social @fairybreadfun.bsky.social

No allergies for me :) Am usually plant-based, and do almond or soy milk, but it's not strict or required. Still enjoy a regular cheddar cheese and milk in things like chocolate and ice-cream! #SecretSantaAoNZ
Today's #SecretSantaAoNZ question is a pretty important one.
Make sure you add the hashtag to your replies so it's easily searchable for your Santa. We wouldn't want them to miss it.

#SecretSantaAoNZ - jewellery! I don't wear a lot - mostly necklaces if I do. Do have my ears pierced and love some of the recent earrings shared on here, but just don't wear them often. Prefer silver to gold. Also have long hair - so hair ties or accessories are helpful!
Going to move this question for #SecretSantaAoNZ forward a few days since it's come up.
What jewellery do you wear? Necklaces? Bracelets? Clip-ons or pierced earrings? Rings? Anklets? Arm bands? Gold? Silver? Pewter? Copper? Or plastic like Hoggle?

Excited to be playing #SecretSantaAoNZ again! I don't post that often which means my likes and hints answers from the last season are only a few posts down my feed!

#Oct23strike #megastrike Just adding my voice in support of all those on strike today. We can have a functioning health system, and pay our public service workers decent wages - our govt is choosing not too. I support us making different choices and backing our people and communities.

Use “I” statements please Winston. The tens of thousands of NZers who marched, the thousands and thousands more who see this genocide for what it is and who know recognising Palestine is an important symbol of solidarity, your decision does not represent us.

It arrived in an email overnight with the subject "InternetNZ Annual General Meeting 2025" — it has instructions and your unique code.

I see there's some discussion around NZ media treating politics like sports (which I agree with) but I'm going to present a slightly alternate perspective that it's a kind of social dissociation.

We talk about the "optics" or the "play" because it holds everything at a safe remove.
