I think often of a New York Times photo of a little Iraqi girl tending to her parakeets in a bombed house, probably from 20 years ago now. I will think of this man and his sweet dog often now too. People just want to love what they love, care for their little beings, and instead we do this to them

Does anyone else cry when they see these videos? I’m not even an easy crier, and I don’t know what kind of bottled low grade trauma is living in my subconscious that makes this a constant, but whenever I see these the tears just come.

Today I’d like to tell people about Grow. It’s a peer support mental health group available in Australia, USA, and Ireland (links in further posts). No doctors at all. A twelve step program like AA. It’s based on experience and friendship.

I hate this timeline.
Not up to me, the POTUS, or anyone other than the Iranian people. I don’t know the history of all the groups, but I do know what Iranian feminists have been writing over the last few years, & the people of Iran have been raped, tortured in other ways, & killed for wanting freedom.

Trump is a monster of a man who should be tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity. He shouldn’t be allowed on the world stage unless it’s his trial. His Secretary for war should be arrested with him. Civilian killers.

The other year I read about soldiers going into schools and gang raping the children, teachers both male and female, arming some boys for war, and killing everyone who didn’t join them. It happens often in the ethnic clensings and genocides around the world. This one was the Congo.

If the world had helped Iran on January 16 1979, tens of thousands of Iranians wouldn’t have been slaughtered.
The world needs a system that protects people from oppression. As it is evil is allowed to continue. There are multiple genocides right now.

I can’t imagine what must be going through the minds of the people of Iran right now. I do hope they are free from all outside interference soon be that the Ayatollahs, or Trump. I don’t trust him to leave given his threats against other nations to colonise.
