Approximate size (depending on how you’re viewing this) of a black hole with the same mass as the Earth.

Formation mechanisms that could produce such a small black hole are purely hypothetical.

It is now looking more and more likely that Kent will be promoted to Div 1 of the Championship. The mentality has been really impressive this season, certainly compared to last. I just don't believe they currently have the skills to do much up the divisions.

It's one of those Bank Holiday Weekend mornings where, across the country, loads of County Cricket fans can be heard muttering "Well, not even <my team> can lose it from here".

Except for Gloucestershire.

I want these to drill down even more. With whom would you like to have a Boots meal deal? Which potential PM would be the best partner for cycling around Belgium? Trout fishing? Salmon? If you were opening the batting (red ball) with a party leader, which one would it be? If you were waxing your anu
On that Burnham now narrowly edges Farage on the question of who people would like to have a drink with, and dominates on “have as your boss” though he ties Farage on “lead you into battle”. Almost half of us don’t know (which we can read as none!) who we’d go on a cruise with.

Has Emilio Gay done enough to win the coveted England opener title of "embattled" yet?

Very happy but a bit confused by Kent appearing to be a vaguely competent red ball cricket team.

Really loved that Milnes bowling du Plooy wicket, for the stumps flying, for the celebrations, and for Milnes getting a deserved wicket.

Still think Kent's position in the table massively overstates how good a team they are.

I don't watch that much of the Hundred - it's just not my thing - but the few women's matches I've seen this year have been very disappointing. When there's been good play - and there's been much less than, eg, the T20WC had - the match has been so one sided. Close matches have been due to poor play

I love the saying "to laugh like a drain", even though it makes no sense to me at all.

Anyway, about that Bangladesh Vs Australia match...

I had been thinking that Kapp looked like the grumpy first teamer making up the numbers in a thirds reserves warm up friendly, but didn't even then expect the farce that the end of this innings is turning into.

I'm sure there was an article only a few hours ago about Langer wanting the job, so this has made me laugh an unreasonable amount.

Another Ashes match in Southampton in 2027 - hope it's as good as the last one we saw.

Slightly annoying that the Canterbury match against Bangladesh is timed so it will be impossible to get to.

But if I did this, how would I end up finding a completely different book to the one I want and reading that instead?
Wait does everyone here know the life-changing secret re: finding books?

You photograph your bookshelves/book piles and then you can text-search in the photos.

Thinking about Knight's career, I think there's a comparison to be made to Joe Root's, in terms of both batting and captaincy. Both will be very difficult to replace.

And she deserved that one she didn't get.

Good job by Charlie Dean stopping Soph from getting hauled in on an assault charge.
Ecclestone deserved that.

But Mooney has been superb again.
