#wipwednesday of my second fic for fe vampire weekend, which is some unhinged flavour of chaotic sylvix ft glenndue as promised lmao.

the vibes of this will pick you up and throw you off a cliff tbh.
indenture. in·den·ture | /in-ˈden-chər/ any deed, written contract, or sealed agreement. a contract by which a person, as an apprentice, is bound to service. or: Felix knows it’s about to be a long week when Monday begins with a vampire bringing his familiar to the vet. Sylvix + Minor Glenndue | ~4.1k Vampire AU, Modern AU. Fluff, Humor, Mild Hurt/Comfort, Mild Angst, Getting Together, Strangers to Lovers, Glenn Fraldarius Lives, Slight Miscommunication, Pre-relationship, First Kiss, Happy Ending. Sylvain's whole deal as it turns out, is he's been raw dogging it for a little over two years. And somehow miraculously hasn't met his end running afoul of an established coven by feeding on their territory, or getting a hunter's silver blade through the chest. His familiar—who he insists on calling Dryer Lint—is actually an infernal being named Eligor, who he summoned about two months ago after reading the literal wikihow article for conjuring familiars. Felix genuinely doesn't know if he should laugh from the sheer absurdity of that information or not. It's so clear Sylvain is teeming with potential, yet in his human life he spent most of his time fooling around. Which is why his sire left him for dead; having turned him in a fit of rage over a one night stand. Because yes, the whole story could be more stupid, actually. Felix goes rigid where he's standing, right between where a change in flooring delineates the kitchen from the rest of the living space. The full magnitude of Sylvain's words slowly sink in, and his stomach gives a sickening lurch. Because Glenn was a corpse wasn't he? There’d been a moment in time not all that far in the past when he and his parents were led through the harshly lit, sterile hospital corridors until they were finally ushered into a softly illuminated, quiet room full of plush furniture. A place designed to provide a warped veneer of comfort as the internist along with a grief specialist educated them about the horrific reality of what brain death meant for his brother's prognosis. Glenn's recovery is preternatural, not miraculous. There's a plot of undisturbed dirt where his body should be buried, and where Felix still thinks he'll find him almost every morning he gets out of bed. A stranger's kindness, and a near literal coin toss, are the only reasons Felix has the luxury of suffering his brother's teasing at all—so of course he'd want to be here, of course he comes here often. Sylvain sighs, fingers carding through his hair. “I didn't have a great relationship with my brother growing up and—clearly I was being an idiot and projecting that onto you.” “I see.” Felix sighs and turns to keep walking towards the nearest metro station. Sylvain follows him. “Anyway, I'm an idiot obviously, but I don't want you to think less of me.” “Pretty hard to think less of a man who thought he needed to take his familiar to the vet,” Felix grouses but there's no genuine heat to it. “Ok—fair. But seriously, you're alright, we're good, no hard feelings?”

#WIPWednesday Another Wednesday, another piece of my Dimilix fic for the FE Vampire Weekend. I'm happy to share that chapter 1 of 4 is complete, so I'll definitely have something to post on October 30th. I hope I'll finish the rest by then. 🦇
Snippet of my WIP "Dimitri turns. His icy blue eye is wide open after being startled. Felix can smell the adrenaline on his battle-crazed blood. It's so enticing. The unbidden thought has him pursing his lips and biting into his cheeks from the inside, if only to ignore the sudden thirst. The scent of Dimitri's blood is appetising, yes; Felix has noticed as much since the Blue Lions returned to Garreg Mach. Yet, he has spent the better of the last five years mastering his own impulses to be strong enough to resist. He refuses to let himself be more of a monster than he already is. If he is to feed on blood, let that be the blood of animals, thieves or imperials. Dimitri's blood is but a minor distraction, nothing more."

#WipWednesday Do I have many other wips I should be working on? Maybe. But today I got to start what I hope will become my Dimilix fic for the FE Vampire Weekend.
Snippet of a wip: "The Crest of Fraldarius, the Shield, the Steadfast. For all its virtues, no one would ever guess it is the crest of a monster. In truth, there are many monsters roaming Fódlan these days. The one haunting Felix's mind was born during the Western Rebellion. Years later, he would spend most of his time at Garreg Mach warning people about it, telling friend and foe not to trust the princely facade behind which the Boar used to hide. Ironic that his absence is what ends up making Felix a monster himself, turning him into what he used to loathe. "
