As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.
There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series
You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

Luckily, I reserved this for pickup early this morning. Neither my local Target nor Best Buy seemed to have any in stock.

This sort of unnecessary usage isn't only at Accenture either. As chatbots spread among corporations, I'm seeing more and more trivial usage that would've typically been resolved with less costly resources (or talking to a co-worker)
Consulting giant Accenture is trying to figure out how to stop non-technical workers from blowing through companies’ AI token budget on trivial tasks like converting PDFs to presentation slides, according to leaked audio obtained by 404 Media.

Welcome to the Tokenpocalypse.
The Tokenpocalypse Is Here: Companies Are Scrambling To Stop Spending So Much on AI
Leaked audio from Accenture says a big source of AI token ‘chewing’ is people just converting PDFs to presentation slides.

Found out today that there's a random Pokemon Go pop up at NewCity in Lincoln Park. Between this, GO Fest, and the Fossil Museum, it's a great time to be a Pokemon fan in Chicago.

I do think "Avoid giving money to someone who will use that money to harm minorities, whose product is one fiction franchise out of literally thousands" is kind of a reasonable ask. Like it's not even activism, it's "don't actively contribute to harm."
