You know, one of the things that no one tells you about writing smut is that it's incredibly awkward to try and figure out how to write where the characters are in relation to one another.

I think the only thing worse than seeing people hold up a work you dislike as if it can do no wrong is seeing people trashing on a work that definitely deserves criticism, but they're poking at the wrong things.

I think one of the things I've learned over the years is that it's far healthier and more intellectually stimulating to be able to acknowledge the faults of a work even as you enjoy it. I think more people should try and engage with media in this way.

Started reading Hiromu Arakawa's "Daemons of the Shadow Realm" and Left straight up sucker-punched me in the gut. She's not perfect, but it's been a while since I've seen an unapologetically muscular woman in anime or manga.
