What isn't surprising is that the husband was a well-liked rugby player with friends in the police.
He divorced her a year after her "vanishing" and got given all the house and money and married his abuse victim.
He even went back when new owners renovated "just to see what they were digging..."

One women was killed and replaced with no real investigation in the police system EVEN THOUGH she just vanished with no money/clothes etc, and all her friends/acquaintances say "No way she'd leave her kids"
The other was groomed and abused by a teacher and no-one stopped that either.

It's SO infuriating. I get it was the 80s, but the husband (and his teacher friends) were well known for grooming female students with no police (or work!) investigation. Two magistrates find evidence enough to arrest him for murder but... nothing.
