FT reporting today that the US is now estimated to have collected more than $13 billion in revenues from Venezuela oil sales, and absolutely nobody knows where the money has gone. Let that sink in.

The US has collected about $13bn of Venezuela’s oil money. Where is it?

I'm looking forward to Andy Burnham making performative visits to the people of the south of England. It'll be like when past PMs visit the North.

"So what is it you make here?
Money? Ah yes, my grandfather used to make that. Very good, very good."

We do like to fight idiots with idiocy whenever possible. Nobody expects politics in the summer, it's unseemly. Farage should know this as a nationalist.

If he wants to go door to door in a heatwave, let him have it. I bet Binface has aircon in there.

Binny McBinface. It wouldn't be the weirdest thing British people voted for.

Hartlepool elected a man dressed as a monkey to be mayor on a policy of free bananas for all local schools WHICH HE UPHELD.

H'Angus the Monkey aka Stuart Drummond Mayor for 11 years.

So Nigel wants to gain immunity from all his sins by winning the job he already has? And he's still the most physically attacked politician of modern times even though two have been killed in the last ten years and three weeks because yes the tenth anniversary of losing Jo Cox was only 3 weeks ago.

Good thread, I'm hoping this will be one of "those" images. One for the history books.

Some help required. Daughter lost her very special to her Coraline Cat (pictured) at the Kneecap Crystal Palace gig on Saturday night last. Incredibly long shot but means a lot to her.
Any and all help very welcome. Pictured at the gig and previously visiting Big Ben.

It must be galling for Kemi Badenoch as she makes a statement about Labour trading Starmer in for a pair of eyelashes and a black t-shirt, that soon she will not automatically be the most stylish party leader. Easy to clip up a winning exchange when your opponent looks like Starmer. Less so Burnham.

If I was Keir Starmer, I'd pass a bill to rejoin Europe and flip off the Reform bench on my way out to the bar. Then close the bars.

Because of Brexit we can take control of the sun. We used to have to share it with Europe but they never let us have it full strength. Now we've won it we've done it. TURN UP THE SUN!

We also have recovery programs for those who need them and public information for known risks. We desperately need that for social media too.
