Am watching #StageDoor as part of the @TCM Katharine Hepburn #SummerUnderTheStars tribute. Early posters mirror the title credits, but later releases added Eve Arden and Ann Miller and sent poor Gail Patrick, Constance Collier, Andrea Leeds and Samuel S. Hinds to the cornfield.

Growing up loving low budget movies, horror, Psychotronic mag, etc., when Ed Wood came out I thought it was brilliant and I loved it. That same week a colleague told me about the worst movie he’d ever seen the night before. 30 yrs later we’re still friends, but barely. #TCMParty

I never look up John Ratzenberger‘s filmography pre-Cheers, because I prefer to be surprised. I do know he spent time in England and ended up with small roles in Gandhi, The Ritz, and other British productions that needed an American. #TCMParty #Valentino

I first saw Man of a Thousand Faces on TV when I was a kid in pan and scan format don’t think I had any idea it was shot in CinemaScope until today. It’s also a little later in Cagney’s career (1957) than I remembered. #TCMParty

I'm seeing Network at #TCMFF (Faye Dunaway attending!) so in honor of Cloris Leachman's 4/30 birthday, I still remember cracking up when the film came out and the narrator referenced Howard Beale being beaten only by All in the Family, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Phyllis.
