Yaknow... We may not have flying cars... But I CAN use my telephone to start and stop my automatic vacuum cleaner from the other room....

And that's pretty cool.

The street I grew up on.

2 doors to the left, a lesbian couple.
1 door to the left: first generation immigrants from China.
1 door to the right: first generation immigrants from India
2 doors to the right first generation immigrant from Pakistan.

It was a wonderful neighborhood.
I quite happily live in a neighborhood where most people do not share my religion, where multiple languages are represented, and where people have come from a lot of different countries.

Bigoted assholes always assume everyone else actually shares their bigotries.

It really isn't that hard.

There are X number of candidates for office.

You already know the order you like them in.

Fill out your ballot accordingly.

If nobody gets 50%+1 you remove the lowest vote getter.

That candidates voters then have their 2nd choice considered and added to the tallies
“Honestly, when people come up to me and say they’ve heard that ranked-choice voting is really confusing, I just put a ballot in front of them and, invariably, they can fill it out,” says a ranked-choice voting advocate.
D.C. Gears Up for First Ranked-Choice Election with Citywide Voter Education Effort
Election officials and community groups are holding education campaigns ahead of Washington D.C.’s first use of ranked choice, with many focused on older and low-propensity voters.

He should just switch parties at this point.
Fetterman is basically a reactionary now: there is no real effort to explain why Mullin - a buffoon who spent the week insisting we are not at war with Iran - is qualified. Trump nominated Mullin, and that’s good enough for him.
He wasted no time...

The default assumption going forward not just by the public, but by the courts, should be that this administration is lying.
"SLOPPINESS": The Trump administration claimed that a man detained by ICE had a criminal convictions for marijuana possession in 2009.

The judge pointed out that the man was 4 years old at the time.

Nick nailing it as usual.
The Department of Justice has lost the presumption of regularity, where courts assume that the government is telling the truth and doing things according to the law, due to Attorney General Pam Bondi's incompetent management and willingness to break the law for Donald Trump.
She should be impeached.

Take less than $10 ride.
Leave door open
Accept $10 to close door.
Waymo, Google’s autonomous vehicle company, and DoorDash have launched a pilot program that pays delivery workers, at least in one case, around $10 to travel to a parked Waymo and close its door that a previous passenger left open, according to a joint statement from the company given to 404 Media.
Waymo Is Getting DoorDashers to Close Doors on Self Driving Cars
The companies have launched a pilot program in Atlanta, where “during the rare event a vehicle door is left ajar, preventing the car from departing, nearby Dashers are notified, allowing Waymo to get ...

Hey that's me.
Of those who ten years ago said this guy's a damned fascist, and stuck to it, most are ambivalent or outright disavow the label "libertarian" now. Not because our views changed much, but because it's pointless to share the term when it includes as many Trump apologists and supporters as opponents.

Abolishing ICE is the moderate position.

And I am not a moderate.

Arrest, try, and hang them all for treason.

Every. Last. One.
I saw it too:

8 years after Frederick Douglass gave this speech, Congress passed the first major federal immigration restriction, banning Chinese women from the United States.

People want to talk about whether US immigration policy has become racist. My question: when did it ever stop?

"all support the mass deportation agenda but not how it's being carried out"

Bitch how the fuck did you THINK it was going to be carried out?

There is NO WAY to do "mass deportations" or "enforce border security" NICELY.
The thing that's fucked up is that this is the most visible and worst bad shoot by ICE/CBP... so far

If this tempo continues, it will happen again and odds are eventually it'll be an apocalyptically bad one
Bill Melugin of Fox News may be the best-sourced journalist within ICE and CBP. If he's hearing this, the administration has a real problem.

This. All of this.
If "he had a gun" is cause enough to be executed in the street by armed agents of The State then the 2nd amendment is completely meaningless.

And next time it could be you.

For one brief moment the entire world came together in a common hope.

Someday, that hope will come true.

But take solace in the fact that with each passing day, THAT day gets closer and closer.

Just couldn't take it anymore. Feed was nothing but things designed to make me angry and bait me into reacting and commenting and making me sick.

I just had to tear myself away.
