One of the best things about being at home is that my feet reach the floor when I'm sitting on the toilet

Goose was decidedly unimpressed with having to have his nails trimmed

I need a spoon for this osso bucco. I keep going to pick up a chunk of meat with my fork and it disintegrates instead of being speared.

One of these is doxylamine, one of these is doxycycline. Other than the size, which is not immediately apparent when they're not next to each other, the biggest visible difference is that one comes in blister packs of 10 and the other in 7.

I don't need to buy socks anymore.

When packing for the most recent dance trip, I was looking for a pair of (new) socks that I _knew_ I'd put away recently. Couldn't find them anywhere. Eventually, I figured out how to take the drawer out of the nightstand and there they were. Under the drawer...

Some days, you can do nothing but stare at the email from the person who earns 2-3 times as much as you, claiming that they _have_ to have their pay arrive a day before everyone else because they need the buffer time before automated payments come out of the account.

Another day, another person jumping up and down about having not been paid... Into the bank account that they haven't provided details for... *Eyeroll*

New glasses. What the _fuck_...

(I was right that I had binocular vision dysfunction. I was wrong about needing near work glasses. Apparently the letters on my keyboard are meant to be discernable...!)

In other "how did they not diagnose you as a kid?!?" news, I realised today that my grandfather's phone number is still listed as a favourite contact in my phone. His funeral was ten years ago...

... And it's still in my phone.

Sarcastic yaaaayyy... The panic attacks are back. And panic attack paralysis makes the panic attack worse.

Have been off panic attack meds for a while now (over a year); have an appointment to get referrals done and ask for something different to help.

I just had to tell someone that, as far as I knew, what they were doing with what they were gleefully telling me _over email_ was a legal grey area, was the only definitely legal possibility, and could they please not tell me anything different.

I have a headache.

1000 year old burial site of a Very Good indigenous pupper exposed by erosion. Archeologists, with guidance from local indigenous people, excavate, and then once analysis was complete, respectfully pass the remains back so the pupper can be returned to Country.

Investigating something else just led me to realise that the needle shield for one of my injectable meds contains latex. Which explains why those injection sites itch so much and why I seem to need my snorty antihistamines more often on injection days...

So they're doing something with the powerline transformer thingies, and so our power is out right now.

So before he left for work, when the power was still on, my husband boiled the kettle and filled up a thermos so I could have coffee before driving to work.

Best human ever <3

Also, I email asking for an appointment with a doctor so I don't have to deal with parsing audio. Which is why I've now done the original email last night, a phonecall, two text messages and an email in response, another email from me asking wtf, a voicemail because at work, and another phonecall.

Feeling kind of emotionally broken today for unsolvable reasons that have nothing to do with any of you, so please, have a picture of my dog pouting at me ❤️

Small moments of joy: the ADHD meds made it possible for me to remember and use the alternate route to and from work (my regular route is going to be undergoing roadworks for at least six months) after just over a week of using GPS every day.

I swear, every time today that a particular coworker has been on a call with a particular client's people, that's when the rain started bucketing down today.

I despise brands that advertise their shoes as being super wide in the toe box, and then I look at their size chart and my husband (who is usually standard width in mens shoes) has to go up three sizes to get a pair wide enough for him.

... One of the latest emails from bookkeeping program Xero has a thing advertising their Sustainability Hub, where small businesses can learn about how to do simple things to make their business more sustainable.

... It includes the quote "practical tools like AI-powered search".

What.

First harvest of peach season. Every branch with peaches on is overloaded and breaking or broken... There's no point in actually picking the things, just shake the branch and rake up the windfalls...

... Waiting for the pharmacy people to do the paperwork so I can order the meds that come in a blunt pre-loaded syringe is not my idea of a good time
